Our Clinics

We are able to offer a full range of medical services including maternity services and contraceptive services and provides specialised clinics for people with heart disease,  asthmatic and diabetic patients.

We provide a wide range of services for you from the practice, including:

  • Advice and treatment for general health problems
  • Minor illness and chronic disease management
  • Minor surgery
  • A range of vaccinations and immunisations including flu jabs and childhood immunisations
  • Women’s and men’s health services
  • Cervical cytology screening (smears)
  • Family Planning Advice – including contraceptives
  • Maternity services for antenatal and postnatal care
  • Some sexual health services, including chlamydia screening
  • Dressing and suture removal
  • Child health clinic
  • Health promotion and disease prevention advice including alcohol, diet and exercise advice, and information about stopping smoking
  • Travel vaccinations

We have a team of District Nurses attached to the Practice and they are based at Brentwood Community Hospital. Our Health Visitor is also based there but also runs various Mother and Baby Clinics at the Larchwood Gardens Children’s Centre in Pilgrims Hatch.   

The Health Visitors also run various Activity Groups and details of these can be found on our Notice Board or by phoning 01277 374912. The Midwifery team, , based at Queen’s Hospital, hold weekly Clinics for our pregnant Mums  at Brentwood Community Hospital in Crescent Drive.

Situated also at  Brentwood Community Hospital are X-ray and Physiotherapy facilities and if it is advised by the Doctor that an X-ray is necessary you have the option of attending the BCH X-ray department or alternatively attending Queen’s Hospital in Romford.  You do not need an appointment for an X-ray, you are free to attend between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm any weekday. If you are referred for physiotherapy or an ultrasound scan you will receive an appointment in the post, or contacted by phone.   

Blood tests are also carried out at BCH every weekday from 8.30am – 2pm and all tests are carried out by appointment – please phone 0300 300 1715 on any weekday between 8am and 3pm to arrange a convenient time to attend. However if it is more convenient, patients can attend Queen’s Hospital in Romford between 8.45am – 4.30pm any weekday, without a prior appointment or the Walk-In Centre at Harold Wood any weekday morning between 8am and 11 am.
